PROJECT 12 IS A TEN MONTH STUDY AND SPIRITUAL DIRECTION COURSE SPONSORED BY JESUS PEOPLE USA.    PROJECT12.US

NOT OF THIS WORLD: CHRISTIAN FORMATION & WORLDLY INFLUENCE
(Michael Budde, 3 sessions)
"Formation" is an old Christian concept, alluding to that pattern believers are urged to adopt rather than being conformed by "the world." Yet "worldliness" is a flexible notion, and can be a leaky sieve, straining gnats and letting through camels. This seminar aims to discern larger worldly forces - political, economic and corporate - that shape our identity and allegiances. The goal is locating essentials of true Christian formation in the midst of other formative influences.

MARRIED & LOVIN' IT
(Tina & John Herrin, 3 sessions)
Fall in love and never get up! We'll discuss steps in building a marriage and love that will last a lifetime. What is love? How can we find guides for true communication? Can we 'fight fair'? What are some keys to unlocking a love that lasts? (Married couples only, please; limited to 30 couples.)

SEX, DATING & LOVE: CONNECTING THE DOTS
(Wendi Kaiser, 3 sessions)
Explore the delicate dance of vulnerability, risk, and hope in finding that "special person" we all desire. Straightforwardly answering the toughest questions, or encouraging her audience to answer the questions for her, Wendi's approach is rooted in Scripture and personal experience.

I LEAD A SHELTERED LIFE
(Keith Wasserman & Sandy Ramsey, 2 sessions)
Who are the homeless? Do they really matter? Why should we care? Why can't they get or keep their lives together - like the rest us? And speaking of the rest of us, what is our responsibility in a world with so many homeless? Come work through these questions with two veteran advocates for the homeless, and share in the wisdom that comes of living close to the poor.

WHEN I AM WEAK: HONESTY, VULNERABILITY & COMMUNITY
(Michael Spencer, 3 sessions)
The Gospel grows in the soil of true humanity, not in manufactured images of wholeness. Christians are weak, broken and dying, and the Gospel embraces us in all of that brokenness - this despite so many slick and peppy Five Easy Step how-books produced by our prosperity and celebrity -obsessed religious popular-culture. This seminar will explore the kind of spirituality that all of us are thirsting for, and have such a hard time finding anywhere - not least in ourselves.

21st CENTURY TENT-MAKING: BUSINESS AS MISSIONS
(Tim Bock, 3 sessions)
Missions and business would seem at cross-purposes, but it is possible both to view one's work as a ministry and creatively self-fund missions projects through "tent-making" businesses. Topics covered in this seminar include a missional view of profit-making, servant leadership, creating a team, all illustrated with real-life examples of mission-business experiences around the world.
