TAIZÉ WORSHIP IN THE MORNING

In the same spirit of the Taizé Monastic Community in France, worshippers are invited to gather each morning at at the 2009 Cornerstone Festival at 8:15 a.m. in Seminar Tent #5 to join in prayer and listen to God through silence, scripture reading, and other expressions of worship. The worship times will be led by Scott Erdenberg, who is just returned from a month living at the Taizé Community, and has led a monthly Taizé service in his church Life on the Vine since September of 2008. Scott will be joined by accompanying musicians David Ro and Robert Merritt.

The Taizé Community is an ecumenical Christian monastic order in Taizé, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, France. It is composed of a little over 100 brothers who come from Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant traditions. Over 100,000 young people from around the world make pilgrimages to Taizé each year for prayer, Bible study, sharing, and communal work.
