GENERATOR STAGES - Keeping the Spirit of Community Alive
The generator stages make Cornerstone a unique experience by allowing anyone to share their music.

That's right anyone can host a generator stage at Cornerstone. Some are as simple as setting up on the grass with a small PA. A few adventurous folks bring it all: stage, sound, lights, and even a big circus tent to keep out that summer sun.

There are a few basic guidelines you need to agree to after which you'll be up and running. Pre-registration for 2008 is now closed but registration is still possible at the festival.

PRE-REGISTERED 2008 GENERATOR STAGES
Want to play a generator stage? For a list of pre-registered generator stages, click here. You'll find their contact information, if they are charging, what their set lengths are, if they provide backline, if they have a physical stage, what size their stage is and if it's covered or not. The stages are listed in the order they registered.

Please remember that Cornerstone is in no way affiliated with the generator stages. We are simply providing a list of generator stages that are planning on coming to Cornerstone this summer.

GENERATOR STAGE DETAILS

For those who want to register at the event, here is a preview of the basic guidelines.

Generator stages are allowed if you have a free permit from the Fest office (or pre-register in advance). For those who have not pre-registered and qualified for a reserved space, please make sure you get clearance for where you'd like your stage before you set up. The Fest office will open at 9 am Monday morning, June 30. The location is clearly marked on the grounds map.

  • All generator stage staff and performers must have purchased a FULL EVENT ticket.
  • Your stage must be located in the area designated as the "Noisy Camping Zone". This area is marked in red on the grounds map and runs mostly along the main road.
  • You are fully responsible to provide all the necessary production including a low noise generator.
  • Performance times are limited to the hours of 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Mon. June 30 and Tue. July 1 and from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wed. July 2 through Sat. July 5.
  • You must be respectful of your neighbors and cooperate with the festival security staff.
  • No merchandise may be sold at a generator stage unless you register as a vendor and pay the vendor fee.
  • Any breach of this agreement will result in revoking of permit, closure of stage, and possible expulsion from grounds.

AGAIN, ALL GENERATOR STAGE STAFF AND PERFORMERS MUST HAVE PURCHASED A FULL EVENT TICKET.
