Seeing Skies began playing music in September of 2008 and gained momentum through the fall of 2008 playing all around the hometown of Knoxville. Writing catchy inspiring hooks and songs with depth and tasteful arrangements, they began to win over the hearts of their entire hometown. In January of 2009 they released their first album with Kura Records at The Square Room with Chad Robison and The Young. After the release of the album, Seeing Skies landed some bigger shows with their growing reputation for an uplifting and exciting performance. They found themselves playing with artists like Green River Ordinance and The Alternate Routes, and Seabird. Since then the album has taken off and Seeing Skies is moving towards a big and bright future. The album, Wake Up & Wake Up!, is the first enlistment for Seeing Skies. Seeing Skies is a band consisting of Parke Cottrell, Garrett Thomson, Cody Noll and Asher Coker. Though there's more to Seeing Skies than us 4 guys. Conversations with people, watching movies, listening to music, listening to sermons, drinking coffee; all sorts of community based expressions of loving and sharing...we all made this possible.
