Upon This Rock is a steadfast band from Oklahoma. Since its start in late 2008, the band has not stopped writing. After recording their first demo, "At One Time ep", doors have been opening everywhere. UTR also has a tour planned for the summer and at the time is saturating their area with show after show. From the start every member of Upon This Rock has made it priority to make music that is like nothing else being made, especially bassist Ryan Northcutt and lead vocalist Brock Vinson, who bring most of the hip hop styles into the mix. The bands single "Criminal Angel" quickly gained success when it when reached #1 on Christianrocker.com for the month of January. "We are so appreciative of every person that takes the time to listen to one of our songs." says drummer, Clint Kirby. Guitarists Tanner Simons and Jody Jackson were also recently added to Splawn Amplifiers sponsorship roster. From the touring routine to every practice, Upon This Rock has a heart to serve, to meet people where they are, to encourage those following Christ and to show salvation to those who are not.
