Why Does the 'Subculture-Meets-Mainstream' Thing Often End Up Looking Like a Smack Down?

Ross "Doogs" Cooper and Phil Jackson (3 sessions)
THWACK! Every now and then Punks, Skins, B-Boys, Goths (etc), meet prejudice from other Christians so blatant it would be funny . . . if the wounds weren’t real. Let’s take some time to see what theology, sociology, anthropology (and any other 'ologies' we can muster), can offer to help us understand how the mainstream and the not-so-mainstream can meet one another in Christ.
Ross “Dougle” Cooper played in bands in the UK and US, & now attends seminary, long drawn to ministries to outsiders and “hanging out.”
Phil Jackson is a Chicago pastor & co-author of The Hip-Hop Church: Connecting with the Movement Shaping Our Culture.
